I'm not quiet sure why I drew him...maybe it's because I watched a movie about the Nazis yesterday...or maybe it's because I like the name Paul a lot...(his first name)...or maybe just becuase I like doctors...  Anyway, I'm still practicing drawing portraits...and I think I'm getting better...  Reference used. Comments

Great job! -- Wait I know your heart's been shattered. But there's someone worth the wait. There's so much more that matters And I know you will be alright, Just try to love the little things in life Like running in the rain.  This is good! I can never draw him right and have him actually look like him.
Paul is a sweet name. He's not a Doctor like in hospitals. He just has a Ph.D in Drama/Literature. -- technological one-trick pony thanks
 I know that's he's not a "real" doctor...but it still sounds good -- -Sweet Nightmares-  Insane and proud of it! ♣  Keep SMILING ♣ hope he and his pals are rotting and burning in hell(both at the same time if it's posible), anyways...I think it looks good...^^...the thing is that he actually looks like the character...wich is hard to do..

I've seen alot of traditional portraits over the years, so I'm subconsciously comparing you to masters lol that's why, you shouldn't take it to heart, when I say you need more practice. Not only to find more definition, but depth and tone too.

Critiques
My only critique is probably the lack of any strong shading to intensify the overall effect and add impact to the image. He looks incredibly young - a few lines and shades here and there would add 50% more character. I also don't get any emotion from this image at all, and I'm not on about your subject, I'm on about you, the artist. I don't feel any specific style.
Having said that, it's a good picture and I can already see the beginnings of something rather good. Just practice, practice, practice!
